  • Basic knowledge of who God is, What God has done, Salvation, Jesus . . .
  • Basic knowledge of Scripture, belief that God’s Word is infallible and inerrant.
  • God’s Word is our foundation for belief and our knowledge of God. Without it we have NO trustworthy guide to know God, His power or His Salvation!
  • Introduction to a new social group.
  • New believers need out of their old group.
  • It has been said that “Christianity is a social Gospel.”
  • It kind of is: we learn best by seeing God at work in the lives of others.
  • Knowledge needs a model.
  • Don’t just tell me; show me, walk with me, go with me, help me!
grow
  • More than knowledge . . . needs a relationship with God.
  • Deeper and broader knowledge of Theology.
  • The relationship needs to move from knowledge to confidence in God to keep His Word.
  • “I know that God can and will transform my character into godly character-because I can already see God at work in me.”
  • Good study skills
  • Be involved in a Bible study group
  • Perpetual growth in Scripture
  • Scripture is always the foundation for your growth.
  • More than acquaintances
  • A relationship with 2-3 people who you know: their history, their family, their faith (What is their testimony?)
  • (What is their spiritual story?)
  • People you feel comfortable calling on when you need help!

  • A life that demonstrates the character of God
  • Life of obedience: not because of behavior modification, but because of God’s work in you!
  • NOW you are bringing praise and Glory to God!
  • Study it
  • Obey it
  • Teach it to others
  • You know God is bring praise and glory to God because your life is falling into line with the instruction of Scripture!!
  • My life is a living testimony of a powerful, saving God
  • You can’t fix yourself, but I know the One who can!
