Grow groups are an important part of our church. They provide relationships, accountability, and a structure for growth. We encourage every person in our church to join a group.
 
Children's Ministry

9:00 a.m.

Tot Spot (0 -5yrs)

Kid's Quest (6 -12yrs)

  • Video Led Lessons with quizzes and prizes
  • Crafts and Games tied to lessons

10:45 a.m.

Nursery (0 -23 months)

  • Discovery Nursery A clean and safe environment for children ages 0-23 months

Under The Sea Explorers (2-3yrs)

  • A clean and safe enviroment for ages 2 and 3 years old.
  • Lots of toys and hands-on activities.
    • Playdough
    • Puzzles
    • Jungle Gym
    • Story Time
  • All staff meet state daycare requirements (background checks, CPR & First Aid Training).
  • A private bathroom is available for children being potty trained.
  • A snack and drink is provided.

Out of this World Adventure (3-5yrs)

  • For children ages 3-5 years old
  • This class provides an introduction to Bible stories and lessons through lecture, interactive games and crafts
  • A snack and drink is provided
  • Team of Teachers: Linda Goar | Sarah Leverett | Gloria Williams | Cheryl Rodriguez

Safari Searchers (6-8yrs)

  • This class is designed for children ages 6 - 8 years old
  • Beginning writing activities, memory verses, and crafts reinforce the weekly Bible lesson
  • A snack and drink is provided
  • Team of Teachers: Jodie Idzerda | Christine Hubbell | Jennifer Boyd| Heather Meyer

Inductive Bible Study for Youth

  • For children ages 9-12 years old
  • This class is specifically designed to help children graduate from children’s classes to the auditorium service
  • Children study books of the Bible, the history and the author of the book
  • This class is currently studying the book of Daniel

Men's Ministry
  • Each year we plan a trip with our men. When possible we go to Promise Keepers. This last year we held our first men’s retreat just north of Durango at a hunting lodge. It was a fantastic time of exploring the characteristics of a Christian man, enjoying good fellowship and relaxing in the Colorado mountains.
  • Each year we go just south of Durango and fish on the Animas River. The scenery is beautiful and whoever catches the most fish at the end of the day gets his name put on a trophy plaque for the next year.
  • Our Annual Golf Tournament is held every June at the Civitan Golf course. It is a three club scramble. We provide coffee and donuts to get you started that morning. Prizes are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as closest to the pin. It is a great day of fun and fellowship.

This year's tournament is on June 19th!  Registration starts at 7:30am and shotgun starts at 7:45am!  All proceeds will go to Kairos Academy!  Cost is $50/person or $200/team of 4! Call Jenesis at 326-1720 to sign up!
 
Women's Ministry
  • Annually we have a woman’s conference on or around Mother’s day weekend. In past years the conferences have focused on topics such as who we are in Christ and how to study scripture. We always serve lunch and dinner to our ladies. Childcare is provided. 

 


 
 
Specialized Ministry

Breakfast Team

  • Each week the church provides a full breakfast for our church people. We currently have eight volunteer teams who rotate warming and serving breakfast. Breakfast is served between 10:00 a.m.- 10:45 am.  Breakfast burritos, waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and pastries are a few of the items on our breakfast menu.

Greeters

  • Every Sunday morning we have three greeters who welcome people as they come to service. Their job is to make sure that everyone receives a bulletin and instruction about breakfast and children’s classes. We are always interested and adding new people to our greeter team. Help Request

Marriage Ministry

  • We have had the privilege of hosting the dynamic marriage course at our church twice in the last year. It is affiliated with the city wide marriage initiative supported by many churches in the area, and a great benefit to any marriage relationship weather brand new or experienced.

Praise and Worship - Music

  • We currently have a praise and worship team that practices weekly for Sunday morning service. We are always interested in adding new instruments and more singers to the team. Auditions are held regularly for those who think they would like to be a part.

Prayer Team

  • People’s prayer needs are important. As a church family we care and would like to provide an opportunity for you to share those needs. Please leave a prayer request on the contact us page, and it will be forwarded to our prayer team.
